ROS Agriculture Meeting Video Index 3/10/2021 Jeff Sampson jsampson@pobox.com (Updates to this file will be added on to the end.) This is an attempt to index the meeting videos that are on the ROS Agriculture YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnr6AObsHnHSGPge0HVlBpA/videos I also wanted to get this onto a web page so that the search engines can find it. It is currently located here: sampson-jeff.com/RosAgriculture But it may be moved without notice. But I will leave a forwarding address behind if I move it. ============ The text file ros_agriculture_youtube.txt has blocks that represent meetings. I attempted to fix the titles to be consistant, so they may not match what is on the actual YouTube video page. A block looks like this: I: 11302017 Community Meeting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYeBaRp7DNc 00:00 Matt: Introduction to ROS Agriculture 01:00 Introductions 04:10 Jeremy: Updating a package in ROS. microtrac_simulator, razor_imu_9dof. 14:50 Discussion of Sparkfun Razor IMU ROS driver. Which moves on to GPS discussion. 32:25 Kyler: Descibes the way he uses ROS (mainly just the communication parts), he wants to use more of the standard nodes, he wants to use expensive GPS receivers (which ROS expects cheap receivers), Pure pursuit algorithm, ackermann, visualization of tractor on a map 54:40 Training - Robot Ignite Academy 59:50 Discussion on testing 01:02:00 Sohin talks about his university project. ros_serial, mission planning, steering, GPS, path following, dubins Chat: Community Meeting: Review Razor 9DOF IMU package, path following software. 00:30:06 Terence D: This is it, right? 00:30:07 Terence D: http://www.robotshop.com/en/9-degrees... 01:31:37 Matt Droter: https://github.com/karlkurzer/path_pl... ============ The header: The "I: " at the begging of the header indicates this video has been indexed. (Handy to search on). Next is the title "11302017 Community Meeting", which is the date follwed by the type of meeting. The URL is the link to the actual YouTube video. Currently you have to cut-n-paste that to get to the video. Indexed data: What follows is time stamped comments about who and what is being discussed. At least one meeting had only one entry. (a presentation) The original Zoom Chat data: The section which I labeled "Chat:" is the "Description" from the YouTube video. This was originally cut-n-pasted from the Zoom chat. The timestamps on those are mostly unusable. They indicate the time during the meeting that someone made the comment. But the Zoom time is not synced with the YouTube time. And things were posted as it occured to someone, not necassarily when it happened. I figure including the chat (which is text and hacked links) may aid in searching. If you see a chat link you want to follow then go to the YouTube page and click on the link there. When I am all done I make another pass and try to replace the "Chat:" section with the actual links. But I may not get that far. ============ If a meeting header does not begin with "I: ", then it has not been indexed. My narration style changed as I progressed through this journey. But hopefully what I created is useable. I did this for myself so I will make due with what I have. (or maybe make random updates if I notice something else that I think should be there) ============ Tips for using this: If you copy the text file onto your computer you can use various ways to search. In Linux I use a combination of grep and a text editor. Examples search topics: (Ideas to get you thinking) A concept; gps, gnss, pid, steering, servo, imu, transmission, brakes... A brand/company name; Novatel, Hemisphere, uBlox, Swiftnav, Sparkfun, Drotek, PixHawk, Ardusimple, Raspberry Pi, Nvidia, Arduino, Atmel, ARM, ComNav... A specific model; F9P, M8T, Smart7, V104, V200, Piksi.. A processor/board type; nano, uno, mega, stm32, teensy... Bigger concepts; path, Dubins, TEB, costmap, map, world, navigation, plugin, heading, localization... There is a wealth of information in the meetings (and quite a bit of dead time). Just start searching and see what turns up. ============ End for 3/10/2021
