Kilian's Robot Shop of Horrors - 10/11/2002
![]() The new Trippy is to use Makita rechargeable batteries. |
![]() We took one of the chargers apart to see what was inside. |
![]() The schematic looks like this. |
![]() The new Trippy will have the frame/body made of cake pans. |
![]() The parts will fit inside like this. |
![]() We needed to do some precision machining. So we made a center finder. |
![]() Then Ron showed us how to get 120 degrees by drawing circles. |
![]() Here is the result. |
![]() So now we needed to cut out the precision template. |
![]() And transfer the 3 points to the base plate. |
![]() Then using the straight edge we had the 3 center lines for the wheel mechanisms. |
![]() We need a hole for the motor cables right here. |
![]() Out comes the high decibel slotting tool. |
![]() The base with the wheels attached. |
![]() Bottom view of the base. |
![]() Ron aquired a laptop computer and needed a cord. So he made one. |
![]() Here is the new cord in action. |
![]() He also found these small motors. One of these days he will show up with one that needs a microscope. |
